Renata Tebaldi International Voice Competition

In San Marino, the "Renata Tebaldi" Competition is the springboard for new voices of Italian lyric

This music event takes place in September, once every two years, thanks to the Renata Tebaldi Foundation, which continues to promote this internationally renowned song contest.

Renata Tebaldi (Pesaro 1922-San Marino 2004) was a sophisticated soprano who performed in prestigious theatres such as the La Scala di Milano (directed by Arturo Toscanini) and the New York’s Metropolitan.

She was always in love with San Marino, and gave her consent to be represented by the foundation, which has been promoting this International Song Contest for years now.

The Renata Tebaldi International Voice Competition is open to young Italian and international talents and acts as a springboard for their debut on stage.

The contest is held every two years, in mid-September, and it is sponsored by the Captains Regent and the State Congress of the Republic of San Marino.
